Champagne Cinnamon Ball Python
One animal carrying both genes. Each one is inherited separately, so this combination is made by bringing them together rather than being a gene of its own.
Documented health findings on these genes
Champagne. Animals carrying this gene are widely reported to show a neurological head wobble similar to that associated with Spider.
Cinnamon. Animals homozygous for this gene — Super Cinnamon — are widely reported in breeder records to show structural defects including kinked spines and shortened, misaligned jaws.
The two genes
- Champagne
- dominant
- Pattern largely erased down the sides, leaving a plain tan or orange animal with a faint dorsal line.
How one is made
Both genes have to come together in the same animal. The pairing that does it most directly is Champagne × Cinnamon, which works out every outcome and its odds.
