What every value carries
Not just a number. Each one comes with the dataset it came from, whether it was measured, computed or cited, and — the part that matters most — the definition of the measurement itself.
That last field exists because two of our own sources use the word “length” for two different measurements. Feeding one into a formula built for the other produced a body mass ten times too high, and nothing errored. Anyone consuming this data can see which measurement they have.
