About this feeder
Honest details, in plain English.
Papaya Isopods
Papaya Isopods (Cubaris sp. Papaya) are colorful collector isopods for bioactive terrariums. They serve as a natural cleanup crew — consuming mold, decaying plant matter, and animal waste to keep your enclosure clean and healthy.
Care
- Substrate: Moist organic mix (coconut fiber + leaf litter + sphagnum moss)
- Temperature: 70-80°F
- Humidity: 60-80% (provide both moist and dry areas)
- Food: Leaf litter (primary), decaying wood, fish flakes, calcium supplements (cuttlebone)
In Bioactive Setups
Papaya isopods feature warm orange and cream coloring that stands out in any collection. A mid-range collector species with moderate breeding speed. Pair with springtails for complete mold control. Both species establish self-sustaining populations in properly set up vivariums.
Live arrival guaranteed on all isopod cultures.
