(April 2020): "I'm doubtful about this, given that the morphologically and ecologically very similar species S. scutatus from Palau is known to be definitely diurnal. I suspect cathemeral might be a better fit. I've only ever turned them up under rocks by day, but they're very active when you do turn the rocks - definitely not resting under there!"
