Genetic Stripe White Albino Reticulated Python
One animal carrying both genes. Each one is inherited separately, so this combination is made by bringing them together rather than being a gene of its own.
The two genes
- Genetic Stripe
- recessive
- The net-like pattern replaced by clean stripes running the length of the animal.
- White Albino
- recessive
- A separate albino line, holding far less colour and leaving a white and yellow animal.
How one is made
Both genes have to come together in the same animal. The pairing that does it most directly is Genetic Stripe × White Albino, which works out every outcome and its odds.
Worth knowing
White Albino. Not compatible with the Purple albino — the two lines sit at different loci, so a pairing between them yields no albinos.
