He suggests that the categorisation of them as nocturnal is based on a misinterpretation of Tony Whitaker's statement that was quoted in the full spreadsheet. Tony never found them active, but simply stated that he found them under rocks and logs by day. This doesn't mean they are active at night. Instead it is most likely that they are cryptically active by day and night (like their close relatives and ecological equivalents Marmorosphax), but always in/under shelter.", cathemeral (Rodda 2020)
