Anaconda Toffee Plains Hognose Snake

One animal carrying both genes. Each one is inherited separately, so this combination is made by bringing them together rather than being a gene of its own.

Anaconda

Blotches reduced and pushed toward the spine, leaving clean flanks. Two copies produce a Superconda, which is nearly patternless.
Toffee
recessive
Brown and caramel in place of black, with a pale belly and dark eyes.

How one is made

Both genes have to come together in the same animal. The pairing that does it most directly is Anaconda × Toffee, which works out every outcome and its odds.

Worth knowing

Anaconda. A Superconda is the two-copy form and is a healthy, established animal — unlike the two-copy form of some genes in other species, it carries no documented welfare problem. Breeding two Anacondas together produces roughly one Superconda in four.
