Albino Arctic Plains Hognose Snake

One animal carrying both genes. Each one is inherited separately, so this combination is made by bringing them together rather than being a gene of its own.

The two genes

Albino
recessive
No black pigment, leaving orange, yellow and white with red eyes.
Arctic
co-dominant
High contrast in greys and browns with a lighter ground. Two copies produce a Super Arctic, paler again and often nearly white between the markings.

How one is made

Both genes have to come together in the same animal. The pairing that does it most directly is Albino × Arctic, which works out every outcome and its odds.
