Enigma Rainwater Albino Common Leopard Gecko
One animal carrying both genes. Each one is inherited separately, so this combination is made by bringing them together rather than being a gene of its own.
Documented health finding on one of these genes
Enigma. Animals carrying this gene are widely documented to show neurological signs — circling, star-gazing, loss of balance, and difficulty targeting food — commonly called Enigma Syndrome. It is associated with the gene itself rather than with husbandry, and severity varies between animals.
The two genes
- Rainwater Albino
- recessive
- The smallest-effect of the three albino strains, often lighter with pinker eyes.
How one is made
Both genes have to come together in the same animal. The pairing that does it most directly is Enigma × Rainwater Albino, which works out every outcome and its odds.
Worth knowing
Rainwater Albino. One of three separate albino strains, not compatible with Tremper or Bell. Pairing across strains yields no albinos.
