Bell Albino Enigma Common Leopard Gecko

One animal carrying both genes. Each one is inherited separately, so this combination is made by bringing them together rather than being a gene of its own.

Documented health finding on one of these genes

Enigma. Animals carrying this gene are widely documented to show neurological signs — circling, star-gazing, loss of balance, and difficulty targeting food — commonly called Enigma Syndrome. It is associated with the gene itself rather than with husbandry, and severity varies between animals.

The two genes

Bell Albino
recessive
A distinct albino strain, typically pinker with darker eyes than Tremper.
Enigma
dominant
Speckled, broken pattern with a white tail and variable spotting.

How one is made

Both genes have to come together in the same animal. The pairing that does it most directly is Bell Albino × Enigma, which works out every outcome and its odds.

Worth knowing

Bell Albino. One of three separate albino strains, not compatible with Tremper or Rainwater. Pairing across strains yields no albinos.
