Axanthic Lilly White Crested Gecko

The two genes

Axanthic: recessive; Yellow pigment absent, leaving greys, blacks and whites.
Lilly White: co-dominant; Large areas of white across the back and sides, increasing with age.

Both genes have to come together in the same animal. The pairing that does it most directly is Axanthic × Lilly White, which works out every outcome and its odds.

Worth knowing

Lilly White. Two copies produce an almost entirely white animal, widely reported as failing to thrive and not surviving long. Pairing two Lilly Whites is expected to produce a quarter of the clutch in that form.
