Our captive-bred baby bearded dragons are healthy, well-started, and eating a variety of feeder insects. Babies ship at 4-5 inches and are ready for their new home. Bearded dragons are one of the best beginner reptiles — personable, handleable, and hardy.

What You Need for a Baby Beardie

  • 40+ gallon enclosure (upgrade to 75+ gallon as they grow)
  • Basking: 100-110°F, cool side: 75-80°F
  • T5 HO UVB bulb (non-negotiable for calcium absorption)
  • Diet: 80% insects, 20% greens. Feed 3x daily.

Best Feeders for Baby Beardies

Small discoid roach nymphs (protein staple), small silkworms (zero chitin, safe for hatchlings), BSFL (calcium — no dusting needed). Avoid mealworms for babies — impaction risk.
