Discoids can't climb smooth plastic, so escape-proof hardware isn't needed. Heating is the next line item. Discoids breed best at 78-80°F. A basic 10-15 watt under-tank heat mat costs $15-25. Brands vary, but you're not paying for premium here—a simple mat works.
