No — butterworms are not appropriate for a uromastyx.

Butterworms are the larvae of the Chilean moth Chilecomadia moorei, and they are a rich feeder by any measure: roughly 25–30% fat and 16–18% protein.

That fat is the whole story. It makes them a dense energy source — genuinely useful for an animal that is underweight, recovering, or refusing other food — and it makes them a fast route to obesity for an animal that is doing fine. They also carry more calcium than most treat feeders, which is a point in their favour, but not enough of one to move them out of the treat category.

The useful comparison: waxworms occupy the same role. Black soldier fly larvae are the opposite — the feeder you build a diet on.
