Frequently Asked Questions
Everything we get asked most often — shipping, the Live Arrival Guarantee, subscriptions, feeder selection, and how to keep your roaches healthy at home.
How do you ship live discoid roaches?
We pack our roaches with care, using insulated containers and temperature-controlled methods to ensure safe arrival. Every order is backed by our Live Arrival Guarantee.
What happens if my roaches arrive dead?
We stand behind our feeders. If your order doesn’t arrive alive and thriving, we’ll make it right. Just send us a photo within 24 hours of delivery, and we’ll issue a replacement or refund.
Can I choose specific sizes in my order?
Yes! We offer Small (¼" – ½"), Medium (½" – 1"), and Large (1" – 1.5") discoid roaches. Select your preferred size before checkout.
Do you ship year-round?
Yes! We ship in all seasons. During extreme weather, we include heat or cold packs when necessary to protect your feeders.
Why choose discoid roaches over crickets?
Unlike crickets, discoid roaches don’t chirp, don’t jump, and don’t die off as quickly. They are also higher in protein, more nutritious, and don’t have the strong odor crickets do. Plus, they stay in the feeding dish—no escapees running loose in your home!
Are discoid roaches good for all insect-eating reptiles?
Yes! They are perfect for bearded dragons, leopard geckos, skinks, monitors, chameleons, tarantulas, amphibians, and more. They offer high protein, great hydration, and are easy to digest.
How often should I feed my reptile discoid roaches?
It depends on your pet! Young, growing reptiles can eat discoid roaches daily, while adults may only need them a few times a week as part of a varied diet.
Do discoid roaches need to be dusted with calcium?
Yes! Calcium dusting is recommended to ensure your reptile gets proper bone support, especially if they are not getting UVB exposure.
How do I keep my roaches alive and healthy?
Keep them in a well-ventilated plastic tub with egg crates for climbing space. Feed them fresh vegetables, fruits, and a dry grain-based diet. No standing water!
How long do discoid roaches live?
A healthy colony can live over a year with proper care, making them a long-lasting feeder option.
Can I breed my own discoid roaches?
Absolutely! They breed slowly compared to crickets, but with the right setup, you can maintain a self-sustaining colony at home.
Do you offer bulk discounts?
Yes! The more you buy, the more you save. Bulk pricing is available for breeders, store owners, and keepers who order in large quantities.
How does the subscription work?
Our Auto-Ship program lets you set your preferred delivery schedule. Choose every 2 weeks or every month, and your feeders will arrive fresh and on time—without the hassle of reordering.
Can I modify or cancel my subscription anytime?
Absolutely. You can change, pause, or cancel your subscription at any time—zero risk, full flexibility.
